Hi;
I have a Neotec 500DX which works great in CGA/EGA mode but I tried to use it in VGA mode and it's not getting the signal properly, no display.

I tested the signal with an LCD and it does work properly so that it not the issue.

There is no manual, per-se but I tried to follow the schematics and there is a switch (SW1) which would switch the sync from Comp to H/V but I am not sure if I should switch it or not, I do not want to damage anything.

What I did already was:
-swap the little plug leading from the neck PCB from the CGA/EGA receptacle (W102) to the VGA receptacle (W106).
-removed the CGA/EGA input plug from W101
-attached the VGA cable to W103

I searched the main PCB for a switch but cannot find one!

The only two jumpers that I see are on the interface PCB, listed as SW1 and SW2. SW1 right now is jumpered for comp sync and the other option is H/V.
SW2 is jumpered for comp but there is no other option listed, so it would be "open" if I changed the setting.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance
Jeff

OK, I went over the schems again and took a chance........and.........I got game!

I switched the SW1 setting from comp to H/V and I'm good to go.

Hopefully this will help someone in the future.
