I seem to remember reading on this topic before but my search abilities are failing me.

I'm looking for some reviews on the various products out there. Which ones suck and which ones are worth it.

I've used this one on my Dig Dug Restore that I stealth MAME'd.

I've been very happy with it, overall. I tapped into the 5v line on my computer's power supply to get the power it needed. The one drawback I would say about this board is that the fine tuning adjustments you make (like screen position, size, pincusion, etc) all get lost when the board is turned off. But since I really didn't need any of that, I'm fine. My image was good right from the get go. I made adjustments using my Wells Gardner K7000 board pots.

neat. I need to go the other way around though!

Probable Translation: I want to thrown an LCD flat panel in an arcade game.

trying to reduce space for the really large deluxe games. get rid of the projection monitors!

understandable. but any CRT to LCD downgrade is worth spilling a 40 on the sidewalk, they're the cadillac of low res.

Eh, anything new enough to be running on a projection monitor probably won't look all that bad on an LCD.

Games like Top Skater look a lot better on LCDs rather than the rear projection screens. Like a million times better.

I have some 50"ers that I have thought about converting. The space savings would be really nice. My concern is the aspect ratio of the LCDs. Having the image squished or cut off isn't too appealing. It really is a shame there are no large 4:3 LCDs available. Unless a decent solution is discovered, I will keep my projection monitors chugging along as long as I can.
