Finally, went and retrieved Round Up from Captain's Auction Warehouse. Picked it up at last weekends auction for $200. Pretty good deal. As I said before, don't remember seeing this one back in the day so completely new to me. It was in to nice of condition to pass up. I've been playing the last couple hours and am loving the gameplay. Here are some photos:

It might be safe to say that you now own the nicest original Round Up there is.

Not bad. Interesting that there is a switching power supply in there. Is the original supply still in the cabinet?

I thought i read that Taito also made a version of this game called Fitter. Was their version any different and has a upright Taito cab of this game ever surfaced, or was it just a cocktail?

I think like other rare centuri games that weren't all that great it falls under "no on played it so it looks beautiful."I've seen another near mint example and other little known near mint centuri games that most would not care to own. The pit anyone? Although they tend to have burn free g07 monitors in them so that counts for something.

Newly-opened still-in-box games would fall into that category, too.

Some HUO games would as well.

Or, "It wasn't popular, so it's incredible that it wasn't converted AND survived in great shape". :)

Nope, just the switching. No sound when I first got it home. Turned it up and working great. Looks like about 1,000 plays on it and it's serial #566. No burn in whatsoever. MAN! This game is f'ing hard!

Sweet pickup! I searched Aurcade.com to see if there was one near me that I could play and there isn't one listed. I was working in an arcade in 81 when that came out and never heard of that one. It's possible it was just a dud and I don't remember it.

I have a Tunnel Hunt and there is only one listed on Aurcade.com, so that is probably my most rare video game. I do have a Keeney Double Bowler from 1950 that I can't seem to locate anything on it but it came with the schematics so all is good.

Cool to see that Round Up in such great shape.

Damn-it Mike! You always find the cool shit! You talk about this one on this months show? I haven't heard it yet...

Nope, haven't discussed on the Roundup yet, but I think I might use it in a Came From Mame this month. Although, I will be playing it on a real cab :) The more I play it the more addictive it becomes.

My Time Pilot was originally a Round-Up. It had the serial tag in the bottom of the cab and it was #7 or #9 IIRC. I have the flyer for it- strange game:
