Very hard to tell what might be wrong without more of a description but for less than $100 bucks if it is decent, the parts alone would be worth it. There are several folks on KLOV who can repair the PCB for you for a very reasonable price.

Crash

Might be a power issue. Centis are famous or infamous for having the +5 and ground connections at the edge connector fail. The pins loose tension causing a larger current draw. That will cause the voltage to rise on the power supply burning the edge connector even worse.

Reseat all the socketed chips. Next, put it in test mode and power it up. Count any beeps and check the list in the owner's manual to see if you have a RAM problem.

If so, replace the RAM chip.

Reseat, as in "seat again".

It simply means to remove (pull the IC out of its socket) and then reinsert it back into the socket (in the same orientation, and without bending any of the legs).

Yea,,you should remove the pcb, if you have a multi meter, check the voltage at the power supply first. Here is a great how-to. http://www.coinopspace.com/forum/topics/testing-your-switcher-power and for a noob like yourself and myself, I found this quite helpful as well. http://www.arcaderepairtips.com/2011/03/16/inspecting-an-arcade-board/ . Being from Canada as well, especially the east coast, I find does not help much either. It's hard to find someone to repair pcb's. Most reputable repair guys are in the USA and by the time you pay for shipping down, the repair work, and shipping back, I found it was cheaper to order another from eBay. I do not use Canada Post or USPS, Fedex down and back, it gets here in one piece and can be tracked all the way. That's what I ended up doing for my Commando game.

I hope the mods don't mind posting outside links. Just trying to help out.

thanks alot eveyone, if also anyone has somethuing to say., fell free
thank you
