I have a trackball from a Centipede that was full of gunk and not rolling around nicely.

I've taken it apart, washed everything and its now drying in the sun. The rollers are barely worn, so I'd like to keep everything as is if possible, rather than buying replacement parts.

Question about the bearings - how do I lubricate these things? They appear to be a sealed unit?

I use a little 3 in 1 on my Missile Command upright - on the larger trakball you can see the bearings so they are easy to get at.

What am I missing with the 3" bearings?

Any help appreciated.

Put a drop of 3-1 oil on the flat side and turn it so it works in. You can hold the inner bearing while turning the outer ring

WD40 works the best to make then spin really free and fast and then add a tiny bit of 3 in 1 oil to them....
