Want to rebuild the trackball on my Centipede....and spent some time reading about the process. It seems that the approved-idea is to remove the factory-packed grease out of the bearings and use a more liquid-based lubrication like a 3-in-1 oil or Tri-flow. The spinning them on a drill to break them in.

Thoughts/ suggestions on this procedure?

Who's selling the better rebuild kit?

Thanks everyone.

I've never removed any grease from those bearings although adding a thinner oil is a good idea.

I've purchased the rebuild kits from Arcadeshop. May as well replace the ball while you are at it.
