How far across the screen does your archer move with a good spin of the TB? I seem to remember it going most of the way across when you give it a good sideways spin. Mine only moves a few inches, taking a couple spins to get from one side to the other. All the moving parts are new and moving as they should...perhaps my optic boards are on their way out? I cleaned the reader part when I first got the machine, and it cleaned up the choppy movement. It just seems to me it should be alot more responsive.

I replaced the whole TB assembly not too long ago, and I can get from one edge of the screen to the other on one spin. Centipede TB's can be had pretty cheap if you look around, I picked up a brand new one for $37 shipped.

Does the archer move everytime the ball is moved? If not you have a bad bearing or dirty roller issue.

Sometimes the encoder wheel gets a little off and will rub against either side of the sensor slot... even if it's just a bit, the archer will 'hang up'...
check that first, then try to tweak it just a bit. Good luck:)

Great advice, but all the moving parts are definately moving freely. I'm hoping it's just the optic board and not a problem on the PCB.

Mine didn't work right until I put a drop of 3-in-1 oil on each bearing, just like the manual page that XXI21 posted. It was causing the ball to slip against the shafts, and the harder you spun it, the worse it was. Now works awesome.
