How well does Centipede play on a 60-1 board?
Curious about gameplay emulation, not so worried about sound quality.

Are there any complications with hooking up a 3inch Happ trackball for the setup?
thanks.

the 60 -1 has a direct track ball plug in, very easy set up. Jamma boards sells the harness for a couple dollars. I never noticed anything wrong with the game play

i like to install an eight way joystick for games like scramble, xevious, super cobra, etc.
also love putting a 4 way joystick for all the pac man games,
plus the 3 buttons for gun smoke

control panel size determines if a 3 inch trackball can be installed

usually dont install the trackball

The trackball sensitivity is way off. It's playable, but if you have an original it's way different.

Thanks. I have minimal experience with Centipede in the arcade.

Would you call it "obnoxiously wrong" or does it just feel "different" than real?

That's the heart of whether I'm willing to do this or not.
Otherwise, I'll rework a control panel and add the trackball to the ArcadeSD cabinet. :)

If you have any experience with the original you will notice the difference immediately. To me it isn't even close. Answering in your terms I would say obnoxiously wrong. Millipede is even worse. I would say that it's a shame to hack a Centipede into a multi but that's just an opinion.

Thanks. I guess I'll scrap that 60-1 idea. I have a strong curiousity to play some centipede, i was terrible at it back in the arcades but it was fast and fun.

I guess the trackball will continue to sit on the desk for now...
