I own a Centipede that only displays 3 colors; blue, white, and purple. The background is blue and the only change is between levels when the mushrooms and centipede are outlined by kind of a neon purple. I tried a cap kit on the monitor and it cleared up for a few moments. But then, like a light switch, it just reverted back to this background. Take a look at the photos I've attached. I was browsing through the owner's manual and I noticed that one of the tests says that if the game isn't displaying all 16 colors, it could be bad RAM on the PCB. Could that be it? I'm at my wit's end. If anyone can help me out with this, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks

For starters: your brightness is up way too high. Turn down the screen control on the flyback until you can barely see the picture. Then adjust the brightness pot on the daughtercard.
