Ok..so first off I am a newbie into the video arena, so please take it easy on me.....

I am a pinball guy and this is among my first attempts at rescuing an arcade game.
I so far have successfully revived a Pac Man and an Asteroids.

My minor problem is that I removed the monitor chassis to have a cap kit installed and for some stupid reason, neglected to note the wire hookups. I have them figured for the most part but can't seem to ind where the black ground wire from the ground strap on the monitor goes. I think that it goes to the terminal "E" on the CRT socket board, but would rather be safe than sorry. Any help, or even a pic, would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Vern

Thanks...
That's exactly where it went and the game is up and running!
Could use new bearings in the trackball if anyone knows a good source.

For the record, the monitor is a Rauland 19VMJP22.

Thanks again!!

You can get the Rollers, Bearings and perhaps a new ball from Bob Roberts or arcadeshop.com.

Tell them you are rebuilding the trakball on a Centipede - it's the Mini-Trak with an offwhite ball.

The Atari trakballs are 3 sizes (mini-trak - centipede, midi-trak - Crystal Castles, and maxi-trak - Missile Command, as examples)

I have heard good things about Bob Robert's kit. If your bearings are ok you can probably just clean up the rollers with a wire brush (I use a wire wheel on a bench grinder, works great). You can probably find a pool que ball for less $$$, if needed, same size.

That is the tube, not the chassis - which is how the monitor is identified for repair purposes.

Know what I mean?
