Helping a friend get his Centipede working one night it worked the next day monitor is dead, no neck glow or static. Game plays blind and marquee light up. Checked for power to monitor and it reads 119.5 Ac I didn't think it should be that high could the Atari iso be going bad? Chassis is a Kortek and the fuse is good but the B+ filter cap has a domed top. Any help would be great.

119.5 vac is perfectly fine if that is the input voltage to the monitor.

Korteks just aren't made well. they'll blow up poly caps or resistors will get so hot in circuit that they'll burn holes in the chassis. my suggestion is to acquire a G07 or 4900 and drop it in and just dump that Kortek.

not many people on here know how to fix those I don't think, outside maybe Ohmerone. so there's not much in the way of intelligence on how to repair yourself. you'll probably have to send it out for service at Arcadecup, since I think everyone else on here only really do Wells.

Not so fast. It's not impossible to fix probably just needs a cap kit and flyback.

take a pic of your chassis.

i can repair some of them as long as the flyback is still good and it is a K7000 clone.
