Was thinking I had a power fluctuation issue (Game re-setting, power roll) so I decided to replace the big blue with a new one from Bob Robert that I had.

Original value was 30000/25 and he new one was 27000/25. Figured it was an atari brick, so I installed it and started blowing fuses.

I think it's a no brainer that the difference in value is the cause. Where can I get the correct value /size?

Any suggestions on what else it might be?

Thank you.

No - that small difference in capacitance is certainly not the cause.
First thing I would check is to make sure the new cap is not installed backwards. Double check the wiring.

Still blew after I re-installed the older cap.

Will the game turn on at all if the cap is installed incorrectly? I thought it would not power up.

Thank you guys for you help.

That was it. Thank you.

Always check the polarity (BEFORE) you remove stuff. It made it so much easier to put it in the right way.

Thank you
