A revelation- and a few questions...
So I had a 'pede for a few months with wicked color bleeding, screen burn, and some vertical white lines down the side. Guy I bought it from said he had it looked at and was told it needed replacing- ha. So i figure, cap kit for sure and have been waiting to get to it.
BIG MISTAKE! Stupid me had never played with the monitor adj.
First I rolled the screen horizontally- within a minute almost no more screen burn! Hey I thought screen burn was permanent, why was I able to get it cleaned by just rolling the image?
Then, i figure im on a roll- so i start messing with the rgbs. I turn red and blue as far to the right as they will go- and my screen looks nearly new! Everything just sharpened right up, amazing. But what does it mean that i had to turn them as far as they will go to get that image? Is that bad in anyway that they had to be turned so far to acheive a proper image?
The monitor still takes a good 2-3 mins to warmup. And in the warmup phase I can see all the problems I used to have slowly dissappearing. So what does this monitor really need? A cap kit? New fly? Im certainly hesitant to do anything to it right now, looking as good as it does, but what are the symptoms showing is going to happen down the road here?
