Hi All,

I have a Centipede that is displaying a green screen after moving the cabinet across the room. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this. The cabinet was working fine before this.

FYI the screen does not show the dark vertical line down the middle, this is just something from the camera. The screen is all green with the blue section in the upper left.

Thanks!

the green screen with a blue section in the left means it was a horizontal monitor swapped into your vertical game. before a barrage of people start saying "YoU nEeD a DeGaUsS tOoL!!!1" that's not going to fix it, it's a purity ring adjustment. you never noticed it in the game, because it's a black screen game, so who cares.

as to your issue, I would verify all connections inside the game are good. if you slid the cabinet you may have knocked something loose. or it already was loose and you just finished it off.

purely spitballing here cause I'm not there to inspect it myself: if the "Big Blue" filter cap in the bottom was replaced maybe it was positioned too far down and it arced against what I believe would be a metal tray under the transformer assembly. the 20A fuse would most likely be blown then. while you're at it, check all the fuses, make sure they're all good, with the game off obviously. the game should have a red power LED, make sure it's lit up, with the game on. if it isn't you're not getting power there, the aforementioned filter cap thing being a potential cause.

if any Atari experts have seen this, weigh in. it's something I'd be able to probably figure out quickly if I had the game in front of me.

These are good suggestions. I will have to investigate further. I just wanted to have aa staring point.

Thanks for your help.
