I've purchased several pieces of arcade themed art from www.nicecarvings.com and wanted to share some pics of my latest acquisition. It's a 4' x 2' Centipede sideart carving. It was carved out of hdu (high density urethane) foam without the aid of a CNC machine. I should be receiving it in the next couple of days.

That's really nice. Whats something like that cost?

It was $400 shipped. The shipping alone is probably $40. There was a tremendous amount of work that went into this project, from the design, carving and painting.

I will take some pics of it in my game room early next week, along with a really nice Battlezone that I purchased from fellow KLOVer Superbee.

Yeah yeah yeah... it looks great, we can all agree on that. But some of us are missing a good point... an attractive woman... that makes arcade themed art.

Anywho, GREAT deal (looks pretty much perfect, worth every penny). If she calls to check up on how the piece arrived, get some details for me. lol

Believe it or not, this guy's tattoo was the inspiration. The carving is actually a birthday present for my fiance. She only plays two arcade games: Centipede and Bubble Bobble.

I let her know my intentions prior to ordering the Centipede art though because I suppose you don't spring a 4' tall Centipede on someone without first asking. :)

WOW I would get that Tattoo:cool:

Princess does a great job... she's a semi-regular (or used to be until she got so busy) over at BYOAC... her hubby is "Donkey Kong" over there. Good couple of folks... VERY talented she is.
