After some trial & error, I've been advised to replace this part. The problem is, I don't know what part number it is for a 'Pede. I don't know what it even looks like as I've never heard of it before. Is it easy to install? Please give as much info that I could find to be helpful. Thank you!

It's a 35A 100v MDA3501 Bridge (about 1 1/2" square with 4 lugs) on the bottom of the power supply. Change the Big Blue capacitor also 26000uf 15V.

I replaced mine with a 40 amp 400volt bridge rectifier. I assume this is ok unless anyone objects?

That's fine.
There is no real advantage to going higher other than the fact that 100V, 200V and 400V bridges typically cost the same. May as well go for the higher voltage part for the same price. I wouldn't pay extra to go from 100V to 200V or 400V, though.
