When I power up the game, it doesn't come on right away. It fires up suddenly after several minutes. Is there anything in particular causing this? Thanks.

Caps need to charge up and hold a charge right? Bad caps on power supply? I Atart with checking your voltages to the PCB when you first turn it on.

Did you do that on purpose? :p Although even bad caps wouldn't take that long to charge, checking voltages on the card is a good place to Atart. You've got a heat-latent failure somewhere.

i would Atart by checking for +5VDC before AND after, the connector to the game board PCB. also look for neck glow on the monitor tube near the neck board when you turn it on. also check for power at the monitor connector.

you have 3 prong plug installed on end of cord? i doubt that has anything to do with it but that is one on my troubleshooting check list.
