Have a Centipede cabinet. Switched out big blue and Getting power at P5j5 ac dc power output - voltage measures as it should. But no power is going to the board. Any suggestions for what is going on?

The edge connectors are all clean and we're not getting power to the harness. But j5 tested good. This is my first attempt at restoring, so please forgive any lack of knowledge.

Got a power kit from Bob Roberts and changed out big blue. There was a spark so powered off and put the old big blue back in.

Have you checked all of your fuses? And by checking, I mean with your DMM? Also, check the fuse holders. That type of fuse holder is notorious for corrosion or just the sides becoming weak or breaking off. If everything is good there, keep moving on down the line. Check the wiring to the harness and check for broken or corroded wires at the harness connector. Pins inside the harness can get dirty or even weak so there may not be a good contact at the edge connector. Those are the basics. Now when you are saying you are getting power to J5 are you talking about the power board or the game board? I have not worked on a Centipede, but have brought several others back to like from same era.

The power board. We did test all the fuses and they all tested good. We're going to swap the power supply and see if that fixes it so we can narrow down the problem area as much as possible
