Celebrity game collectors??

The dust jackets on Ready Player One and Armada say the author, Ernest Cline, "has a large collection of classic video games".

Ready Player One was a really fun read, especially when I actually have a lot of the games mentioned in the story.

And the movie will be out in less than a year.

Except he talks about "peeling" sideart on Pacman in that book. Every collector worth their salt knows that Pacman sideart was stenciled. Pshhh, what a newb.

Find me a pacman with "peeling" sideart and I won't peel back your scalp with my witty retorts.

Sold restored games to lots of celebrities over the years. Most famous were Eminem, Mary J Blige, Shaq. And those three were very generous with me.

It does pay to network and treat each sale as if it's to a family member.

i just wanted to chime in with news that i finally obtained one of this books! sure they sell for $200-300 and higher, but i managed to purchase one for the low low price of $100

insanity i tell ya!

If anyone really wants to give me $100 for my copy of this book, I will be at the Allentown Pinball Festival this Saturday morning, 5/6. I have photos I can provide. The $100 will cover an Asteroids I'm picking up later that day for my LL conversion.

DJ Pauly D of Jersey Shore has these. SF2 looks like it could use a capkit and is running what looks to be a SF2CE board though the artwork is SF2 and doesn't appear to have sideart. His KI is in a Golden Tee cab as well with some custom KI artwork on the front. Since he's into fighting games I wonder how good he is at SF2?

Funny you mention Pauly D, he was walking 5 feet in front of me in Times Square today, like a normal dude. The crowd reactions were the best.

Saw that episode, did not figure him to be a gamer. Thought that was really cool. No LCD's either and someone with his money could easily blow 3 grand on those eBay/Craigs List specials. Wouldn't surprise me if he was on this forum. :D
