I kinda just heard about this today, well Jeff mentioned it last week then I forgot then he mentioned it again tonight.. but I need a day off from video games and have not had a day off in a while :/

Have fun!

Just wanted to thank James and David for having us over today. It made for a nice little getaway for the son and I. :)

Thanks again. :beerchug:

Small Group, Successful day

We:
* Failed to Rejuvenate the Frogger Tube
* Swapped a Tube into Frogger and it looks nice!
* Recapped two AR-II-01's that still failed to provide +5VDC
* Adjusted Pole Position's TM202 to a decent picture
* Removed PlayChoice Artwork
* Sanded, filled and sanded PlayChoice
* Rebuilt Missile Command's smashed cabinet bits
* Opened up spare TVs and found 4 usable tubes
* Showed everyone in Rockaway that classic arcade game live on Main Street (at least for a day)
* Play tested LeMans, Frogger, Pole Position, Missile Command and Battlezone
* Discussed our best restorations, worst deals, best sources for parts and other great topics.

And we did it all with only one minor burn.

"we" need to decide if this is a quarterly, monthly or annual event. I am open to frequency suggestions.

Those who made it to the first one would have the best input, but it looks like a good time was had and a bunch got done. I'd vote quarterly. Monthly would be fine too, but I would be hard pressed to make it on that frequency.

It would be tough to consistently get there monthly.. life comes up randomly. Although, personally... now all I have is time :)

I was actually thinking maybe every 2 months depending on interest.

BTW - I completely under estimated the kind of work going on. Tube swaps, recapping, wood work... the whole deal!

DEFINITELY the type of event to learn and get many sets of eyes on your stuff if you have an issue. I am for sure bringing a k4600 tube and chassis next time as I am about to give up on it.
