Can the light bulbs at the top display by the CD'S that spin be changed to color LED's? The color sleeves on mine are faded and thought maybe color LED would be better. If not can the color Sleeves be changed?

Thank you,
Joe

Those bulbs are # 73 miniature lamps (can be found at any auto parts store).

They are made to operate on 12 to 14 volts. In the jukebox they are wired in series/parallel to the 24 to 28 volts AC motor circuit in conjunction with a current limiting resistor mounted on the back wall in the amplifier compartment.

Thanks for the info but can these be changed to LED's and if not any idea where to get the color sleeves?

dang. anyways, Ken has answered this in the past. Here's a list of LEDs where you can get them :

Rowe uses #73 miniature lamps which operate on 12 to 14 volts. The LED replacements are as follows:

Blue: http://na.suzohapp.com/amusement_products/lighting/161-212056

Red: http://na.suzohapp.com/amusement_products/lighting/91-5WB-121R2

Green: http://na.suzohapp.com/amusement_products/lighting/91-5WB-121G2

Yellow: http://na.suzohapp.com/amusement_products/lighting/91-5WB-121Y2

White: http://na.suzohapp.com/amusement_products/lighting/91-5WB-121W2

You can also search for "T5 LED lights." That's what I use blue, yellow, red.

Are you for real? He just told you what type of bulb it is. Is it that difficult for you to Google '#73 bulb led replacement'? Here I'll do it for you.

Yes I am for real. It sounded to me like he was just telling me the type of bulb that is currently in there and that is why I asked for clarification. Must be nice to know it all.

To the other poster thank you for the civil answer.

I certainly don't know it all. My point, although it was rather harsh, was that he gave you enough information to answer your question. Instead of taking the information and looking up the answer yourself you ignored it and asked your question again. Did I overract? Yes. That being said, I will attempt to give you some info on your CD-100A that might help. I don't know if you have the manual for your jukebox. It is available here:

http://arcarc.xmission.com/PDF_Jukebox/Rowe_AMI/

Also, besides Ken on here, the other person to contact about Rowe jukeboxes is Bruce Wentworth of A&B Jukebox repair. As far as I know, he is the only one that does full service work on the CD-100s especially the older CD players. He is also a Rowe distributor and can order parts/kits directly from Rowe. His site is here:

http://rowejukeboxparts.com/

Hope this helps.

I was not happy with the LEDs to use in the Rowe jukeboxes. They were expensive and I didn't like the inconsistent brightness from color-to-color of the LEDs. When we were operating CD-100s on the route, we switched them back to incandescents because it was cheaper.

Whether you choose to use LEDs or incandescents, one thing you must do is to replace all of those gray twist-in light sockets. They give no end of trouble all the time, especially as they age.

Thank you all for your help. I was wondering how they would look. From what Ken said it sounds like they may not be the way to go. Thanks again for the info.
