Anybody have a working CD-i (I don't really care which model) with all of the cords and a controller that they want to sell? I'm also looking to buy the three Zelda games, Hotel Mario, and a copy of the Super Mario's Wacky Worlds prototype disk.

Never mind. I just bought a refurbished one on ebay with everything I need and a copy of the Super Mario's Wacky Worlds proto. I still need the three Zelda games and Hotel Mario though.

Yeah I've seen videos of the three Zelda games (and the two Mario games) and they look fucking terrible. But for some reason I must own them and I must play them.

I'm with you on that one.

I watch the intro and gameplay videos on youtube sometimes for a laugh...

"I'm so hungry, I could eat an Octorock"

OMFG. I've known about these but never watched any of the videos and obviously never played them. What crack was whoever smoking when they made this crap?

It's funny this topic started, someone traded in around 25 games today for CD-I. We've never had any traded in before.

No Zelda games though, and I'm keeping Hotel Mario :)

That's one perk of working at a game store... I haven't seen a CD-I ever attempted as a trade in, but if I had, those games would have been mine.

The CD-I is one of the few consoles on my radar that I don't have.

If you ever want to see how the Zelda games play and hear some crude comments about them, just watch the Angry Video Game Nerd's review of the series.

I just won an auction on ebay for "Link: The Faces of Evil" for the CD-i. It has the case and the artwork and is in "mint" condition. I got it for $32.

Just bought "Zelda: Wand of Gamelon" and put in an offer on "Hotel Mario". Now I just need "Zelda's Adventure" and I can play five of the worst games of all time. Fucking sweet. Time for a bowl of octorocks with soy milk.

Don't forget to bomb some dodongos...

FYI you can just download and burn games for CD-I. I'm not into pirating games, owning a game store and all, but for something as dead as the CD-I I don't have an issue with it. Of course for titles you really want to enjoy in all their horrid glory like the Zelda games, you will want the originals :)

Yeah I know. The only games I'm gonna buy for this are the Mario and Zelda games though, and I want the originals of those.

ah, you should get some bad FMV games. They are so entertaining for all the wrong reasons and they're dirt cheap.

It may be for the 3DO, but it's funny. Plumbers Don't Wear Ties.

AVGN did a review on it. It's completely random, from a dude dancing with a plunger, to a panda bear driving an F1 car

Not exactly dirt cheap, though

The guy accepted my offer for Hotel Mario. Now all I need is Zelda's Adventure to complete my small CD-i collection. Who wants to donate it to my noble cause?
