Hello,

I need a little bit of help. Im the commander at the local VFW in Long Beach CA, i just dusted off an old Row Ami CD-100C I found on a storage room. Im trying to get it going 100 % to make some extra cash to support the place.
My issue is that I cannot find out how to spin the CD rack to put more into the empty slots. Its pretty much locked in place. Im sure I am missing a switch or button somewhere, but I have no owners manual and do not want to break it.
It plays the cd's that are in it already, so i know it is functional.
Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!
Thank you in advance

Can you put the juke into service mode? If you put it into service mode...on the front of the mech right below the player is a black small pushbutton that in normal mode cancels the current selection.....but in service mode it cycles through the cd spindle.

Also if you can take the mech out....the whole thing...cd spindle, player, mech control unit (it's all attached) You will find a smaller brass lever under the player...right in front of the spindle....it's a latch tat when pressed in releases the gear for the spindle so you can spin it by hand.

Also, in case you don't know how to put it into service mode....there should a bracket on the left hand side of the box...mounted to the inside wall right near the front...it'll have 3 switches. One says on/off, the other service/normal and the last is <</>>. The on/off turns off the power to the cd unit and mech for servicing without turning off the lights. The service/normal puts the juke into service mode for checking errors, disc conditions, pricing, credit, etc. Most of the servicing is done on the number keypad. Then the <</>> is for turning the title pages without the keypad.

Once you put the new cds in the juke it's a good idea to initialize the cds. What this does is the player will run through each cd and give it a quick scan to see how many tracks are on that cd. Without this...you might have a cd with 10 tracks on it in space 42....well if the previous cd in space 42 only had 6 tracks on it, then you'd only be able to listen to the first 6 tracks of the new cd.

To initialize put the juke into service mode, look at the keypad and display...it should say ::Service Mode:: now press 3. From here I can't remember what it says exactly, but you can press 1 then enter the indivual cd number to initialize. I think if you hit 3, then 2 it should say full initialize (which will automatically initialize all the cds). Either way...once you input an indivual cd number or select full initialize YOU MUST PRESS POPULAR BUTTON!! Hitting pop is like your enter button. After your done, put the juke back into normal mode and wait for the cd player to scan the cd's and you should be good.

Any other questions feel free to ask...I work on these on an almost daily basis. Haven't been doing it for very long so I can't remember every code by heart yet, but once i go back into the shop Monday I can get them for you if this isn't right. -Mike

Thansk!!!!!

Thank you both SO MUCH for your time and for your help.
I will complete the recomendations and acquire the manual.
You dont understand how much this helps, since I could not afford to have a tech come out as we are on a budget.
Have a wonderful day!!!!!!
