I have a LE cab that I need to get on casters. Can anyone recommend a set? Whats a good safe way to lay the cab down to do this work? Its so damn heavy

The little leg levelers are rusty and thrashed.

They have reinforcement boards and poke up through the bottom of the cab with a big thick bolt.

I was able to raise the game up on a few 4 wheel dollies i think i coupe replace them with this 5 inch clearance i have. I think what i want to do is put 2x rigid casters on the cabinet rear and 2 swivel casers in the front.

Wondering if i should go for plate mount or if i could replace the leg levelers with stem mount instead. If i do plate mount are wood screws ok or do i probably need to go with bolts/t nuts?

I was able to unscrew a leveler they are 3/8-16, about 2 inches long. Im not able to find "rigid+stem" casters that have this threading yet.

These were cheap enough i think im just gonna try them and see if i can avoid rigid casters.

I have these on a number of my cabs. The wheels lock so your games won't roll around when you play them..
They are as low as you can get and very strong. I just added them to my Star Wars cabinet this past weekend.
You do want to get strong mounting plates however.

Low profile casters

I use these from Arcadeshop.

The combo of the two work really nice.

I'd just extend or replace the existing leg levelers, and add sliders / furniture glides under them.

It works well for me.

The ones i got screwed right up into the cabinet and are supporting it just fine. They lift it about 2" which is great for me as my games are in a garage and i dont want the bottoms ever getting wet.

I was able to give myself enough room to work under the cabinet by tipping it up and sliding a 4 wheel dolly cart under the front edge. I wasnt able to do just the back edge at this point as I couldnt tip it already on one dolly, it just rolled away if i tried. I was able to put one under the back right corner then I slid one under the left back corner as well so 3x dollies total to give myself enough room to swap levelers for casters.

You can see some of the cabinet bottom edge flaked off. I am going to be looking for a solution here soon to repair/reinforce the cabinet bottom.
