Okay everyone, I'm down to one last game that isn't working & I'd like to have the arcade fully functional for my boy's birthday in February. I was thinking of renting a truck & taking this to Sarah out at Pinball Wizard, but renting a truck & gas would run me $300+ without even getting the repair done...so I'm seeing if anyone out there would like to make up for some cash they've spent over the holidays I'm in Bennington, VT, 05201.

Issue: Space Lords. It's only booting up one side & sound is in & out (also on one side only). I'm a novice but have been told it's most likely a bad connection/wire/spade/fuse... I personally think the boards need to be looked at. When left as is, one screen boots up & the other is blank. When I criss-cross the harnesses & boards, instead of the same thing happening in reverse, I get one monitor working and the other stating that it's waiting for it's board to start. Note-there are two monitors and two boards, so I'm assuming one board has some issue. There is also sketchy sound coming from only one side, and unfortunately it's the opposite side of working monitor/board. All sounds work in diagnostic test, but not in gameplay. There's some shotty molex & wiring in the bundles going up to the speaker area...

Hoping someone relatively close by can come check it out/fix it at my place as it's a beast to move, and Sarah wanted me to bring the entire machine in & not just the boards. The boards are Jamma+ if that helps you think about troubleshooting. Hopefully this will be an easy fix & you'll make some cash! My fridge always has beer as well Thanks

Hey whats up. Nice guy to deal with too

i will give ya some advise. Try another jamma board to see if each monitor works fine. If not then Disconnect the jamma connector to the boards so only the monitors have power and turn up the brightness. Does the monitor show raster? If so them they are most likely not your problem. Problem is the boards. Have u checks each board for corrosion? Missing pins on connectors? Cut traces? Have you checked the jamma board connections and connector? Have u verified voltage to the board set and other voltages with a meter? 5v? 12v? 125v?

Ypur soundissue seems to be related to the mess of wiring to the speaker area that seems to be an easy fix. Check there and clean up the wiring. Ya never know it may fix your other issue. I cant tell ya how many games the wiring was hacked to hell. Since its jamma rip it all out and rewire it worst case.

Thanks kjoel, I've thought about most of that stuff, but I don't have any other JAMMA stuff to test with, nor do I have much free time. I'd rather just pay to get it fixed at this point.

Is that the dual monitor beast i saw in person? Are u able to put the boards in test mode to test the video? Too bad u are 4 hours away from me or i would stop by and assist ya.

Yeah that's it. Ended up selling the Pole Position, so it cleared up enough space to get this beast back into the game room. It's the only thing that's not working in there! Both monitors come up in test menu & work, sounds work in test menu as well, game play for both is a different story.

Snap some pics of the boards. Is there a filter board on the end of the game boards? If so remove it then try again.

Run the video sync test. It should show Blocks that are the same height on the 2 screens. If it dont then u may have a bad link cable , connection or bad Clarn 2 pcb.

Let me know how it goes

Here is the manual for this game. Look at page 2-8 and 2-9 for details
