Do you do this? Buy a game you don't have room for because it's either a good deal or a game that you were really looking for? Even though you told yourself you wouldn't buy another game without selling one of your games first, so at least you had the room for the new one? This just happened to me. Again.

Bought: Rampage
Wanted to sell before I bought a Rampage: PigOut

I really only have room for one 3 player cabinet right now. Now I'll have to keep both (side by side) unless someone wants to buy my sweet PigOut machine before Monday. *sigh*

Well not so much on the whole space thing but it's a "Do I really need another game" type of thing. I mean I've bought so much equipment lately its crazy, I got the space and ended up deciding that more things were good deals.

From the title, I thought this was going to be about buying parts to games you don't have yet.

I'm certainly guilty of buying games I don't have room for, but I keep telling myself I have room for one more.

Here is cart before the horse SavIt style: I'll buy parts/graphics hoping to need them when I buy the game they are associated with sometime down the line... :)

You bought stencils for a Stargate cabaret?...

Just sell it to the man already. You mostly hate games anyway. Your arcade is on stilts overlooking Hollywood. Any game will look cool in there. Didn't they use your house when shooting Lethal Weapon II?

No, it's not mint. Did I say it was mint? The bottom has minor damage where the veneer came off.

Anyway, we seem to be getting off topic of this very important thread.

I was very tempted to bid on another 6 player X-Men I saw on eBay. It was local to me and a pretty good buy. I ended up not bidding after I saw a few other bids. It would have been insane to own 2 of those beasts, but I was only going to fix up and sell the 2nd one.

That's the point of all of my threads. Gives everyone a chance to mingle, spout off or open their mouths without thinking. Hey, that sounds like Fritz at last month's all-male "Save the Illegals" rally.

Not sure why, but I have never done this. I have felt fortunate in this hobby that I have never been one to buy stuff just to buy it. I'm not the "buy every $40 CL cab" person. I guess thats a good thing? Maybe not though, as I have more fingers on one hand than games in the game room.

BTW - Rampage is AWESOME. I loved that game back in the day. Used to play it at the roller rink every single time I went. Rampage, Operation Wolf, Vs Super Mario Bros, Off Road, and Super Sprint.

Fuck, I want to go back to '88.

Me too and Hey thanks Jow. I think the kids and I will love it. You forgot to add Outrun and Double Dragon to that late 80's line up. Oh and Ghosts N Goblins and Heavy Barrel.

Most of the time, I try to rearrange things and try to make room if I have a cab in mind. They usually don't just fall in my lap, though last year two machines did at the same time. So much for that theory.

Next time you see a $40 cab on CL, let me know cuz I've never seen one that low before, unless it had no innards.

If I followed this thought process and yes I do think this way I'd have only 2-3 games.
Buying games that are good deals instead of investing the money in fixing the ones I have as projects, space always seems to be the one thing I tell myself that "I can squeeze one more in here".......
