Ok guys, I know this as probably been done before, but I had to ask again (hey new models are available) what cars do people use to transport their games.

Last night I fit a Whirlwind pinball in my Pontiac Vibe(same as toyota matrix)... and shut the back door.
I have also fit an upright centipede, Two Ms Pac cocktails or two space invaders cocktails.

Stories?

My aging (but still operating just fine...knock on wood) Mercury Sable station wagon works great for most standard upright vids. Fits one upright on its side with the back door closed, no problem. Just slide it in and slide it out (with some blankets and cardboard on the bottom to protect the sideart).

I use it all of the time...sure, folks make fun of me sometimes for owning a station wagon, but that doesn't bother me...it's for the hobby! :) Plus it does fit any and all of my other stuff very well when needed...and I'm not much into SUVs...

Only bummer is Ford stopped making this model a few years back, and I don't think any of the current station wagon models are long enough anymore (except maybe the more expensive Volvo) :( ...

I use a 1994 Mazda B4000 Pickup for my games. I have been contemplating buying a new 2010 Honda Fit if I can find a nice deal.

I put TRON in the back of my Chrysler Town and Country (long wheel-base) easily. I can also fit 4 x 8 sheets of plywood, wallboard, etc in the back without issue.

I use an '02 Dodge Ram Longbed, I can get up to 7 uprights in the bed depending on size... Not very interesting, but, alot of people have shown up to my house to pickup stuff that I didn't know if it would fit or not.

One klover loaded a Battlezone I got for him into a mid 80's Peugeot Station Wagon...

Another klover last week stuffed a Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind Pinball machine I sold him into a '93 or so Honda Accord Station Wagon. I have pics of the Honda pinball machine stuffing, I will upload them later on tonight, I still can't believe it fit in there!

I've also seen other collectors/buyers cram and haul machines that I didn't think would fit in such a small cargo area.

This little guy has hauled many a game. Missile Command, Centipede, Asteroids, Satans Hollow, DK, Mario Bros., Mr. & Mrs. Pac-Man Pinball, Sega Turbo Cabaret and nameless others. Ninty's fit nice and snug in here with the hatch closed, most everything else needs to be strapped in except for cabaret cabs and what not.

The Ragtop can haul 2 games on a trailer (if I still had one), It has hauled 2 Turbos at once and also an MK & RoadBlasters at once. I also remember one time I had an OutRun on the trailer and an SI cocktail in the back seat.

Those Japanese style metal cocktails will fit in the backseat of a 4-door sedan quite easily if you remove the legs. I've hauled my DK cocktail a couple times that way.

Dwayne Richard delivered an upright Galaxian to us in a Toyota Tercel hatchback. I have a picture somewhere right after he pulled it out of the car. The wind noise must have been awful for thousands of miles since the hatch wouldn't close all the way.

I've heard minivands work great.
I have been using pt cruiser with lotsa luck.
Hatch closes and all with the biggest pinballs.
I fit wide body gottlieb mars god of war, plus a ms pac cocktail. Not a ton of extra room though. I could probably fit even more if I let hatch stay a bit open with bungies. And if I let the pinballs sit in there sideways/ with the tops disconnected.

Lol, nice posts, but minivans and trucks are cheating...albeit they are the easiest to get games into but I'm not talking about easy here. I say so far the most impressive is the Prius. The guy I picked the Whirlwind up from could not believe I could actually shut the back door... My old Celica was a great hauler but I wasn't into games at the time.

This seems to be the ticket as far as fuel efficiency and game hauling. It will be my next commuter. Wish I could grab it now as you can't haul games in a Focus sedan.
