I don't usually post new score pickups but I felt this one was different.

Backstory: I was driving down a side street trying to avoid some bumper to bumper traffic when my wife told me there was a house with a ton of machines out front. I turned around and say about 30 machines tucked under a carport. The gate was locked and there wasn't any contact numbers so I left it alone and forgot about it. Fast forward to a few months later and my wife mentioning that we should drive by to see if the machines were still there. Well they were and this time there was a For Sale sign out front with a real estate agent's number.

I called the real estate agent and decided not to leave a message. Well I drove by a month later and saw that the machines had been moved around. I called and left a message. I got a call back a couple of days later and they guy started giving me details about the property. I advised him I was interested in the games and he said he'd talk to the owner. I didn't hear anything until about 3 months later and they guy told me the owner was ready to sell the games. We set up an appointment for today so I rented a trailer, reserved a storage unit and I'm now the proud owner of a bunch of complete cabs in unknown condition. I'd also like to give props to Demogo for heading out and lending a hand on such short notice.

Pics.

Last pic is of the carport showing the games that I left behind for the second load. Pics 1-3 are of the first load. I wound up with about 17 games and left behind about 7-10 empty cabs that I didn't have room for in the storage unit I ended up having to rent.

Wow, you scored a deal there. It looks like you got a Centipede and an R-Type.

The Centipede is going to be parted out. It's complete with a very nice monitor but the cab is shot unfortunately. It's a shame, everything on the cab looked nice other than the swollen wood. :(

The R-Type fared much better as it was farther underneath the carport. It's complete other than the back door, it even came with the original manual still in the bag.

Here's a list of the games off of the top of my head:

Zombie Raid
Centipede
R-Type
Blitz 99
Revolution X
Beast Busters
Ms. Pac - cab
Street Fighter 3 - Third Strike (Primal Rage conversion)
Ms Pac cocktail- Shot! Need a part shoot me a PM.
Gauntlet Legends
Dynamo HS5
Spider Man- Cab in great shape!
And about 5 conversions in Williams cabs. Two of which are Robotrons.

Since these cabs were under a carport a lot of them are water damaged.

In addition to the cabs I got a few single slot Neo-Geo mobos, CPS3 mobos x 3, CPS1, Tron, Lethal Enforcers and some others I can't think of at the moment.

That's a giant pile. The Centipede is a good pickup. Looks like a Ms. Pac in a black cabinet as well. Hard to tell what the rest is. Anything complete/working? Seems like a long time from first seeing them to picking them up. Any weather damage?

It's a shame too. I couldn't test any and for the price I got them at I didn't need to. ;)
From talking with the Op he said that a lot of them were working before he pulled them from his route.

Great pickup! However, I can't believe you waited so long on this? I could see waiting a few days or even a week, but if it looked like they were left for dead, you should've been all over it. It's a shame that Centipede isn't salvageable...but I guess it'll give new life to a bunch of other machines. Best of luck on the rest of them!

I forgot to mention before seeing the real estate's agent sign I looked up the owner of the property in the county records and found a phone number for them. I called and left a few messages and never got a call back so that's the reason I didn't do anything until I saw the For Sale sign. I actually did make an attempt to contact them. I would have knocked on the door but there is a chain link fence that goes around the property and the gate was always padlocked so...

I'll probably try and swing by later and take a proper inventory. I have quite a few Jamma boards to test.

Okay then...that makes more sense ;)

Nice pickup. Glad you were able to save most of them.

Thanks, I'm off from work Thursday and Friday. I have a lot of things I need to take care of but plan on going out there tomorrow for an hour or two to test the games that are supposed to be working.

There are quite a few cabs that I'll be parting out really soon since they're in pretty bad shape. Centipede upright (some parts spoken for) and a Moon Patrol Cocktail will be first on the list. Trust me folks the wood cabinets for both of these games are shot, no restoring these cabs. I'll start a for sale thread with a list and pictures of the games that will be parted out.
