The classic thing to say is " would you be happy with this finish in your house ? "
If you think Carpet and Vinyl is tricky , wait to you start doind Epoxy resin based floors .
you are mixing 2 part GLUE in peoples houses ,[ sometimes with 5 components ] epoxy resin is Araldite with a modified hardener , if the person mixing gets the mix ratio wrong , it does not go off ! the next Moring the customer walks in the room , and slips over in unset honey like resin , or worse , 90 % set resin . you then have to blow torch off with a scraper as well .
Each trade has it`s toughness no question here in how tough Vinyl or carpet can be either .
Epoxy resin has no trade , it`s not an apprenticeship thing , you gotta learn from other guys , then going out and doing your own work is another skill.
My motto is that " i hate coming back to fix a floor" i feel like i have let everybody down , that gets to me , so i finish a job up to my high expectations , i do not get any call back work on my behalf .
