Carnival!

Got these chipped edges at the front. Decided to take Brzezecki's advise and use the drywall corner protectors.

Here's what the front edge under the coin door looks like:

Bought at Lowes, then cut and painted white.

Also painted the front bolts for the previous coin door lock bar - too much trouble to try and fill the holes in at this point.

Came to realize the white was TOO WHITE! I had to go back to the store and find a more antique white to match the color better so the molding won't stick out.

Here's a comparison:

The finished product:

Looking sweet. What did you use to attach the front corner protector and where did you get the new cardboard bezel? thanks

Double sided tape on the front side and a couple of small nails underneath.
Szabo's Arcade - around $85 and got it in exactly 1 week.
I think Rich makes them too but I didn't know at the time.

Drilled holes in the new plexi and put together the front of the game.

Added the newly painted black trim ring bezel. Screwed in the control panel.

I always like to do a small custom touch - in this case I painted the bezel screws orange to match the color scheme and the control panel bolts black to match the buttons.

Finally installed it in the cab, but first added a piece of black construction paper where the marquee light is because the light was spilling over onto the monitor and washing it out.

...

I am in this same situation. do you have a pic from backside or how did you attach. Wondering if they designed it this way so the cardboard bezel was illuminated? Pretty sure Frogger is same way.

here is a pic really showing the light coming down on monitor.

Yeah, I couldn't take the light. Although I think I've seen a black light in a Frogger before which wasn't as offensive. For the black construction paper, I just nailed it in somewhere in the back.
