Notice the screens!

Haha, funny. I did not drop a dime. That two-in-one oldschool game seemed very out of place. Yeah, there was a blue screen and the other had a "Out of virtual memory" screen. I laughed. They should have had a nice row of new pins - and who cares about the ship moving around - that would add to the fun, providing the plum-bob tilt was removed!

Carnival Splendor and Freedom were the same way. Lots of redemption and sit down machines, no classics or pins. The game rooms look great though, lots of cool stuff on the walls and interesting LED lighting and signs.

I don't ever remember Galaga or Ms. Pacman getting an "Out of virtual memory error". I guess there is something to be said about simpler games and the days before games on hard drive.

Heck, back in the pre-hard drive computer days, when you loaded your OS from a floppy onto your IBM clone, I used to create a RAMDISK (with the little memory the PC had back then) and then load up Battlezone on it and play from there (instead of from the floppy). It was way faster. What a blast from the past.

Cheers,
Mike

Wife and I just got off a cruise ship on Monday. This was my first cruise. I read online that the ship had an arcade.. I was thrilled of course until I saw it. Mostly sit down games that didn't work and redemption games that had crappy stuff to win.
