A fellow Klov'er and myself are going, Anyone else?

Anyone not going that would like us to check out some of the games that you might be interested in chime in here or PM me and Ill see what I can arrange. I wont be there all day but if your interested and just want some notes on how they are running and overall condition I should be able to take care of that for you.

The preview is on line.

They have some pins (which will probably not go cheaply), there is a working Red Baron Cockpit and an EM shooting game in good condition.

Other than that, I did not see much of interest. My guess is that a lot more will be added by Friday.

Since it in my own back yard, it might be fun to go and bid up a few people there, laughs jut kidding ..
Seriously, if I find something fun and affordable, I'd jump on it.

whats up with the yellow vs cab? I assume someone just painted it.

heh alpha and kid........ any good scores yesterday??

Yesterday was a big bust. Fewest number of total games since I've been going to the auction, and first time I left without buying anything. It was 105 degrees out and everyone was pretty miserable.

The pins went for too much as usual. I had my eye on Tales from the Crypt and Bride of Pinbot and both went for $1400-ish. Neither was perfect. The regular pinbot had some deep wear on the playfield, the Black Knight was decent but not great, Fish Tales looked solid except for very faded cabinet, Cybernaut was in good condition and went for $450.

Few classic games and they all went for way too much money for the most part. Painted black centipede went for like $300something, Scramble went for $300something, Pole Position upright went for $200something I think...a nice chicago coin Funland went for $1,000...and the working Red Baron cockpit was a pass, even though I wanted to keep bidding, but again the severe heat I think was making everyone cranky and Chris was just like fuck it, it's a pass when we stalled around $400.

There was a non-working Mach 3 cockpit that someone got a good deal on, a nice Midway Strikeforce that was a decent pickup for someone, a decent Lucky & Wild for someone with the room, a non-working dedicated Rampage with an awesomely unfaded marquee and bezel and original sticks for $50, and a really sweet original Whac-a-mole that actually worked that went for $550 which seems like a very solid deal.

I got on line and looked at the completed auction listings towards the end. A lot of the driving games sold for good prices. If I had the room I would have thought about the Dayton 2 twin or some other game. The Sega Touring Car twin sold for $200. I think the 2049 sold for $400 or so, the other drivers sold for a few hundred. Not bad if you have the space or for a route. Kids still play the driving games on location.

Yeah, definitely good deals on drivers as usual. A really nice Off Road Thunder only went for like $300

Oh yeah and there was supposed to be a dedicated Dragon Spirit there based on the first group of listings, but it wasn't there the day of the auction. So disappointing.

Someone probably made a good offer on the game before the auction. That place is open during the week and the games are sitting there between auctions so it always possible to swoop in and grab a game if you really want it. I don't think I would want a game bad enough to do that, but others probably are.

$400 for the Red Baron cockpit and they passed on it? I wonder why. I guess if someone really wants it they could call up and make an offer. Given how big it is, I can't see there being a huge market for it, but anything is possible.
