Are you serious

Do you really think no one thinks if I only had an extra set around I would no where to get a set? I don't know why people put that as an answer. It is not like you can't find them anywhere else. That's like asking if anyone knows where to get a replacement neckboard and you answer from a parts chaise isn't that obvious?
off the top of my head--a parts board.

PM channelmanic, see if he has any.

Thanks

Now that is helpful atleast now I know what they are called to better search I will have to look better at them but I think I'm still missing part of the equation There are 3 or 4 not sure connectors that make up the whole connection and I'm not seeing what is currently there? It looks like someone did a very bad repair job but it was all sealed up with capcom warrenty stickers and there special press pin.

I am guessing that you are talking about the connectors that are on the "A" board?

They are built up like a stack of three connectors on top of each other to give the type of clearance you need to get above the plastic case. If that is it, you could probably replace your "A" board for less than the cost of the part plus your time to remove the old one and solder the new part in.

If I am correct and it is the connector on the bottom "A" board, I have a spare I can sell you for just $20.00 plus shipping.

Brian.

Are you talking about a whole working board?

Yes, I am talking about a whole working "A" board. Just like the one pictured in the eBay auction you listed. I have several extras.

The reason you cannot see the stack is because the plastic case covers them up. I'll post a picture of one with the case off and on for you so you can see what I mean in about an hour when I get back home.

I must need

I must need the parts and the b side then. If I put the cart and MB back together both sides are female as much as I like female on female action it just doesn't work, so there was a adapter type plug that extended the connection and change it to male to fit. These adapters were glued to the top of the connectors on the mb and I had to remove the glue and adapters to take the mb cover off. I'm not even sure this is my problem but I have to take it apart and put it back together a few times to get it to work so I thought I'd start here.

Also

If you look at picture 4 that is how this came 3 are the same and then there is that piece of junk stuck in there, also this all appears factory based upon the warranty stickers and security pin I had to remove.

From what I see in your pictures, the "B" board is blue, correct?

I am also betting your grey "Asia" sticker is on the "A" board?

It looks like someone made some adpters that would allow an asian "A" board to mate with US/Euro "B" boards. Did the two boards fit together flush when properly assembled? You shouldn't be able to see a gap between the two boards when the regions are correctly matched.

If my assesments are right, you need an US/JP "A" board. That is what I've got.

Brian.

I must admit I don't own any Asia boards, but your "B" board is blue and has the same types of connectors that my blue "B" boards do. All signs point to it being a US or European board. If it is, my "A" boards will work for you.

Do you know what game version it would boot to when it was working? Also has it been phoenixed (phoneix versions can change region)?

Brian

It works

It actually does work just some minor graphic glitches, how can I tell what region ? but I'm confused what is different between our boards everything I see looks the same?

Do you know if I can Phoneix it myself or do I have to send it somewhere? I have searched the internet but couldn't find any information on how to do it.

When you power the board up it will display something like :

Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter
970625
USA

The 970625 is the date code (in this case June 25th, 1997) and the USA is (obviously) the region.

If the board has been phoenixed, you will see the words "Phoneix Edition" under the Capcom logo that is displayed right before the version info when first powered on.

The batery on the "B" board is also normally removed when the board is phoenixed. The battery will be towards the back of the "B" board and is commonly the only red component.

Brian.

PS. - I've sent you a PM.

Okay here is where I'm at

I found the phoenix roms and they fixed it, however I still need the middle connectors I think cause when I press on it it works great if I let go it gets graphic issues. Cool game though I'm glad I was able to bring it back to life after I killed it.
