Hey all.
Bought this big coin pushing basketball coin flipping type game at a garage sale for $50-
Iy turns on, lights all work, and the cabinet is great, no broken glass...everything is pefect, but it is taking score?
Either it isnt recognizing the quarter (quarter sensor?) going in...or the basket hoops dont work.
Does anybody know about these machines?
Are they worth anything?
Made 1993
Has catalogue/manual
Did i get taken for a ticket dispensing heap of %^*&^--------or are these valuable??
Anybody looking for one? Im more into arcade machines than coin pushing games, like i said, just picked it up because it seemed right at the time ,.lol.
Anybody know anything? Are they rare?

I doubt they are very rare, that is to say that there are likely more available on the market than there are people looking for it. Of course this can change over time.

I don't know of anyone looking for this particular coin pusher but there are people who collect them so someone might be interested. Of course, listing your location makes that determination easier.

As for it not working, since you have the manual look to see if it has a troubleshooting section. Many of these manuals have repair tips that can point you in the right direction. Check the wiring for good connections, the circuit boards for obviously damaged components (especially anything that looks burnt), and check all solder points especially the ones on moving components for cracks.

thnx..

thnks. I know nothing about these things, but i did open it up and fix what i saw. At first, nothing worked, no lights, sounds or anything. After adjustments, the lights all work and the pusher pushes!
I even found a knob inside that turned up all the sounds! And the alarm!
Now, all that i cant get working is the coin censor.
I believe this is why no score is being kept, because it doesnt recognize a game to be scored!
I cleaned it up very very nicely. Look almost new considering.
I also couldnt get into the cab, from the front or back, because i had no keys, but i managed to reach my hand inside thru the face, and unscrew and remove the locks.
Once i got inside, it was like christmas!
thankyou!
