Capcom Q-Sound Cabinet

I really can't see paying no more than $200 for shipping a game really. I had a four player D&D shipped to my door a few years back for $200 from Maryland. But it really comes down to the condition of the game and what it looks like. :D

If you can arrange shipping for less than $200 I need the name of that shipper.

And just to put this to rest, these machines are going to cost about $300-350 ship if they are not on a pallet and there is no way I would sell one for less than $600. If I find these anywhere for $300-400 apiece I buy them because I know they are worth more than that (and have sold them for more)

I'm sure shipping is a lot more now with gas prices being the way they are. But my first machine I bought was in Californiaand had it shipped here. Cost $150, it was a Black Tiger in a Galaxy Ranger Cab. Thing weights more than my Gauntlet Legends Cab, and it still had/has the laser disc player in it.

As for the price. It seems like that is just the way things are around this area. People want top dollar for everything, even if their cab should just get tossed to the curb. And yea, I have seen some beautiful Q-Sound cabs go for $300 and not sell down in Florida on Ebay. Seems like all the people in the southern states aren't all about making top dollar on their machines. Not sure why you even asked me to make an offer when you already knew you wouldn't take less than $600. Could have saved both of us the time and trouble right there. Sigh.....Oh Well, I'll keep searching. Thanks anyways.

I agree with what you're saying...except for one thing: it's not that people "aren't all about making top dollar on their machines" in certain areas....it's that they CAN'T get those prices in those areas. So when DreamTR says "I know what they're worth", he does...in some areas. You can't get as much for those cabs in this area. You can try, but you'll be probably be waiting a long time to find a buyer.

For example: we have a guy here in Vegas that's been trying to sell 2 Championship Edition big blues. One has a 3rd Strike, the other has Xmen vs Street Fighter. Well, this dude thinks his cabs are gold and has been trying to sell 3rd Strike for nearly 2k, the other one for close to a grand. Everytime I see those relisted I laugh. But if he's able to get those prices from someone eventually...guess the laugh is on me. And his endless cl listings aren't costing him anything but a little time.

Personally, I haven't paid more than $460 for one of my Big Blues, and that had a Super Street Fighter II Turbo board in it and was delivered to my doorstep from SoCal. My Marvel 2 I paid a whopping $260 down the road from me.

Shit, there's a local who hasn't budged on his QSound with CvS2 in it for $650...bet I end up getting it for at least $200 off if not more when its all said and done...because no one will pay what he wants out here, and that dude has rent to pay.

Yay for being close to the coast and 'spoiled' I guess.

And here's another bump for your thread. Someone sell this guy a Q-Sound at the price he wants to pay!

Got mine for 225 converted it to an AVSP with an 18in1 and I wouldn't let that baby go for anything. I would say with the right game and condition you could easily get 600+

Hang in there Magister you will find one locally. Speedee would ship that for about 200 if they service your area might be worth checking into.

Again...depends where you are in the country.

The guy who sold me my Super Turbo wanted over a grand originally. I walked away. Couple months later he drove three hours to deliver it to me at $460.

I would say ST is a worthy game. And for the record...I ain't selling my Big Blues either.

Edit: I will say he didn't know what the hell a suicide battery was...and after I planted the seed of a ticking time bomb in his head, he probably figured something was better than nothing. But let the record show that I emailed him all the info to do a battery change - he was just too afraid to do it.

I understand its all about location. Over in California Candy Cabs flow like wine, whereas over here I dont think one even exsists in Michigan. I dont do searches outside of Michigan on CL so I wouldn't know what the listings are like, but my god, for some reason here in Michigan people just want top dollar for their junk. My favorite is people slapping a 60-1 in a plain old cab and wanting $700 for it. :D I really think I should have snagged that damn Big Blue in Florida for $300. Man that was a sweet Cab. Shipping would have been worth it. :(

Shipping a Big Blue would be $400+ because of size anyway these days...

That would have been over $700 to your door in Michigan anyway.

Not trying to be an ass like I said. If Big Blues were $300-350 here I would buy every single one of them all day. 25 inch working monitor and Capcom Q Sound parts? they are still viable and wanted by certain people, hence this thread even getting replies and there's more than just us but when there is an abundance of machines in an area (Cali and Vegas have TONS of machines) then the prices go down but storage is also a factor there.

We have way less machines in Tennessee so when they come up and someone wants them, they will go higher than normal but things are CHEAP in Vegas and Cali if you look, no question there, but that doesn't affect the rest of the country (i.e shipping is still a factor)

Like I said, I know its all about location. Its your game, and you should be able to sell it for whatever you want. Thats all cool. I'm just a little pissed that you wanted me to make you an offer on it when you already knew that you wanted at least $600 for it. You could have saved us both the trouble and just flat out told me you wanted $600 instead of asking me to shoot you an offer. Hopefully, I'll find one within my price range someday and get it before someone else who only wants it so they can turn it around and make a profit off it. Hopefully it'll be in Michigan too. :D

Here in Dallas I paid 500 for mine, had one A board, MvC2 and Street Fighter Alpha 2, both phoenix'ed. I got a *really* good deal from a damn nice KLOV'er, before I was really posting here.

I've now got 7 CPS 2 boards, and 3 A boards...

You should know that buying one of these is not JUST the initial investment, it's getting f'ed in the a when you find out you want more boards for it, lol. Now I'm sticking everything with an JAMMA edge connector in there. My cabinet's gonna get arcade herpes.

Because it was never for sale. That is why I said to make an offer. $600 is something I came up with for someone that wanted it. Nothing to be pissed about, you want one for less than it is worth, nothing wrong with that.

I just happen to have two Q-Sound cabs, that is why I responded in the first place but good luck in your search, I am sure you will find one eventually.

Even in Cali these cabinets can be a little tough to score. I waited almost 10 years to snag mine and it literally fell into my lap by accident. People love these things (as they should ;P).

I predict you're gonna have a way easier time finding a MVS machine.

Extra bump.

Hell yeah people love these things! Control panel is the perfect height/angle for my wrists, and cab height really gives it a 'wow' factor.

There are a bunch available fairly close to me at around $400. A little more beat up than I'm looking to deal with though. Has anyone ever properly paint matched one of these things...or has someone come up with maching color sides I can slap on? I seem to remember reading a thread at Neo-Geo that might have to ended with something like "that wasn't the matching color I wanted!".

I'd like to have nice fresh minty cabs...but I'd prefer the character of a few dings over fucking up the color. I'm also thinking of replacing my IL sticks with Sanwa JLW-UM-8 joysticks. Has anyone else here done this?
