Capcom Diamond plate arcade CP overlays NOS

My stick is sick

Using this CPO I have for sale, I made a custom joystick for a friend up at Bungie.

He beats down on SF4 with this beast.

That's a sharp looking stick. Any reason why you decided to go with the traditional american layout for the buttons instead of the more ergonomic Japanese one? I like what you did with the "X" button. Did you solder wires to the pads and use your own LEDs?

yes... now if it was a sanwa stick I would have gone with the asian layout common to many sanwa sticks

Since it's an american upright arcade looking stick, wouldn't you think it would be laid out in the straight square capcom 6?

I took off the surface mount LEDs and ran thin wired up the Clear Happ button. I mounted a small shaved down PCB into the button insert and covered the middle with a matching sticker from a Guitar Hero guitar jewel button. I also ruined one of the LEDs so I took all of the LEDs off of the GH guitar to build the Lit button PCB.

This is built off of a Microsoft wired 360 controller that I took apart.

I could have used a wireless one and used a play and charge kit to mount it external but really ... running out of batteries is ass... I like wired for this very reason.

That is bad ass! You should sell those things. I've seen similar ones, but not as cool as that one.

Just my opinion on japanese style buttons, I hate those damn things. I saw that Bob Roberts feels the same way, so I'm not alone on that one.

I think most Americans prefer the american style arcade buttons, go figure...:)

sanwa buttons are good buttons but I am used to Happ standard buttons. Competitions are nice for mashing but I'm used to the older shapes.

well, they'll start to sink if you push them in... I suggest an epoxy back plate and then bondo fill in... sand.

I usually plexi the top of mine so no need to worry about holes.

Inventory is still good.... any takers?
I'm keeping my prices low till I start to get low on inventory. I think I have over 50 sheets still...

These are great CPOs, just got mine in the mail this weekend. It looks fantastic, and it's a lot sturdier than I'd expected. Definitely a huge step up from the cigarette-scorched SFII' CPO it's replacing.
