Hey guys,

A long time ago, my buddy got a CAPTAIN COMMANDO CP and a CHAMPIONSHIP Ed. CPO off eBay. The seller told him: Put the overlay on top, drill some holes in the CP, and play some CE. Well, he's in the mood to play some CE/HF again and dug this out of the storage bin, and I'm not so sure that this is the way to go. Didn't Capcom make a CE control panel for this game?

Also, I was wondering: What kind of hand scanners do you guys use to scan your side art and CPOs? One of my other buddies got access to a really nice laminating machine through his work and he wants to try printing some CPO art, just to see what the out put is like. I'd love to send him a scan of the Capcom Diamond CPO; however, I wonldn't mind sneding him a scan of a CE CPO. The only scanner I have right now is a desk top scanner. So, any ideas are good ideas.

Thanks,

I have an HP ScanJet 4670, which is a flatbed scanner that comes off in a way that can be used to scan side art:

I've used it a couple times for this and it works great. Of course the larger the art, the more 'sewing' of images you'll need to do.

There's a thread in the Restoration forums that shows someone using the same or similar scanner, but I can't find it now. I thought it was one of Jedi's restores, but I guess not. I believe there was also a link to software that would help 'attach' the various scanned images.

Captain Commando was in a big blue right? and CE had a version in a big blue, so control panel would be the same (minus the holes of course)

On the control panel...gawd...IIRC isn't the Captain Commando Big Blue the same as the CE Big Blue? Looks like the same size/shape CP from the pictures, so I'd say "yes". There was a CE control panel similar to that one pre-made. Finding one is another matter, since they tend to still be attached to their valuable Big Blue wood.

What is this control panel attaching to btw? Another Big Blue?

Yeah, as far as I know the Captain Commando and the Chapmion Edition Control panels are the same size: 17 3/8" x 27 7/8". The only differences are the button layout, the wood spacer pattern, and the CPO.

This CC CP is not attached to any cab at the moment. My buddy wants to drill a bunch of holes in it and put it on a CE cab. and put a HF board inside it. But, if Capcom already made a CE CP, I may just try and find one of those first for him.

I have an EPSON PERFECTION 2400 PHOTO desktop usb scanner. The top can come off. Curious, is it possible to modify it to scan side art and cpos?
