I am new to this. This is my first machine that I picked up today. I am looking for the service switch so I can get into the settings for the game but can't find it. What/where should I be looking for. It appears this is a install into a different cabinet (maybe, I'm not sure) so maybe the switch isn't there? Not sure, I would just like to figure it out. Thanks in advance...

There should be a switch usually inside the coin door.

If you cannot find it you could trace it back from the board edge connector. The switch connects to pin R which is the 14th position. Connecting that position to ground will get the service menu.

Yeah, I found switch, but I didn't think it was the switch because it did not work. To get to the service menu I just jumped a wire from R to GND which worked. That is, until I powered down the machine and lost all my settings. I guess my board won't hold settings. Battery may need to replaced, which doesn't look easy at all on this board...

The manual states. "Settings and accounts will be saved for a few days after power is shut off. If power is removed for too long then when the game is next powered on the message SYSTEM INITIALIZED will appear. If everything is still intact the message SYSTEM STATUS OK will be displayed.

So you might want to leave it on for a while before making settings.
