Capcom Big Blue Guide

There have been several examples of 1st gen's with multislot coin doors; SF2:CE with a 3 or 4 slot, with a deleted chute. I believe there are some pics in this thread.

@DonPanetta and anyone else who is familiar with Big Blue cabs.

For the Gen 1, I know there were two manufacturers, Dynamo and 3Koam. I just want to confirm the shades of blue. The 3Koam had lighter blue in vinyl while the Dynamo featured a deeper, darker shade of blue with a melamine finish, correct?

AFAIK all the Gen1 Big Blues are vinyl and the gen2s are Melamine. For the gen1s IDK if anyone has really compared the two vinyls.

some guy posted a restoration video that included an exact match of the blue color of a gen 2. I ordered it and it was literally am exact match

i think it was vinyl, its the material you would use on cabinets and kitchen counters

That was probably me. It was Aborite S497 UltraMarine Vertical Grade Laminate.

The only big blue cabinets I've seen in person were the 3-koam units. I always assumed that the Dynamo models were laminate but @DuffCon might be correct and they too are vinyl.

The 3-KOAM units have a more dull blue to them. That blue color was used on a number of other cabinets including their k3 z-back
