Got a Capcom Airborne in the game room now. Got keys for it yesterday. This machine was on route, earning money, working great with the exception of 2 lines on the DMD.

Opened it up yesterday to put the head bolts in, installed the 3 balls and fired it up.

Well, things did not go as planned :(.

It kicked out all 3 balls, and you can hear one coil (which I think was the outlane kicker) firing repeatedly.

if you shoot the balls, the game will play, but when the ball crains, it does not recogize this. Also, if you lock a ball in the center lock, it just sits there. The game does not search for missing balls.

ANY idea where to begin on this? I know the wiring on Capcom games can be a pain, but this game was working up to 2 months ago, when it was put into storage.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

These games have GREAT test diagnostics. Put it into test and let it lead you to the issue.

Sounds to me like something became loose, or perhaps a wire/harness was pinched during transport? Hard to say exactly given the description but it sounds like switches either stuck on or not working, so again the test features are your friends... :)

Will do that tonight and see what we come up with, thanks.

I feel for ya buddy. When I saw the bundle of spliced wires under a Street Fighter playfield, I couldn't believe that was how they came.

Good luck. Never played this one, but looked at pics. Looks really cool!
