I'm doing the cap kit on a Sanyo and while removing some of the Caps I noticed that there was only half a trace pad left on one cap hole. The pad is in the hole just seems like there's only half left but it's in there... can I solder to that?

i would extend the lead to the next point/component on that trace and solder there and at the original point. if you don't have a component close then clean the trace to bare copper and solder directly to it as a last resort.

I cleaned up the PAD as much as I could and soldered onto what appeared to be half of a pad and half copper plugged it in and it works...solder didnt really stick to copper side... if it doesn't hold I will solder to the nearest Point
