I'm not in need of any 'caps' right now, but would like to know if there is anyone that actually does a cap kit on monitors in NC and what's the charge and time required?

I have to post to ask, because hardly anyone in this crappy state is into arcade repair. I play with them, just don't do monitors. Would love to learn though.

the first time i did a cap kit i was scared as shit to discharge the monitor.it took me hours to finish the thing. it gets easier the more you do it just like anything else. there is plenty of instruction on youtube if you want to give it a try, arcade cup does cap kits but you have to pull your chassis and send it out.

I don't think I'm looking for actual monitor repair right now... I'm trying to get my ducks in a row for when I have a problem. and I live in Asheboro, so I'm really close to Greensboro.

Also, mcandrew... I am unsure about driving 3 hours yet. I have a garage FULL of arcade crap right now. I'm more interested in Dig Dug than GT. lol I'll keep you in mind though.

thanks. -Ken
