So I started out with a chassis that worked but had some fold over and needed the horizontal width transistor. I did the cap kit and followed the list one by one and compared them to the original. There were a couple that were different but I assumed that they were replaced with what original owner had on hand and I swapped them with what the kit had from Arcade Parts and Repair. After that it seemed to work temporarily and then nothing. So I swapped out the fly back after checking all other parts on the wells repair page. It seems I have no heater voltage and I get an image although very dill only when my TPG is set to standard resolution, Of course the image is wrong. I read somewhere that the APAR kits have some hitch with C732 being BP in the kit and belongs somewhere else and C734 being different but the schematic shows them correct? I am confused, I follow the instructions but they are wrong? Can som done please help. Something happened that shouldn't have and now my chassis is more broken than before.

I went back to put old 10ohm 50V BP cap back in what would be labeled C729 but I see where the silk screen for C729 is right by C734 on the circuit board but the BP cap listed as C729 is in another location.
Anyhow while swapping the old cap back I find a couple of ceramic disk caps that were loose. This explains the working temporarily and then nothing side of things. The monitor is now working but the picture is funny on the top of the screen seems it is just short of being complete.

I plan to swap the new BP cap back as the old one was reading 6ohm and higher esr than the new cap. I also plan to put original fly back in lace of the new one as it is still working.

Convergence will not be fun on this one.

is there not documentation on the cap sheet indicating the C729 location is unpopulated on K7500? (there should be) the cap is in a different spot where the resolution headers were.

C734 is K7500, C729 is K7400. this is also why you a) replace caps one at a time -- you don't remove every single one b) microfarad rating stays the same, it's very common for kits to increase voltage rating c) you make note of the polarity of the cap you're replacing (this is why you also do them one at a time) and d) if it's empty, you leave it empty

So I put the new cap back in and the old fly back in and then I get this picture.
It has what looks like some kind of fold over. I think I will try old cap and old fly back.

The first picture shows C723 placement and silkscreen location that is left vacant.
