Cany anything else go wrong while building my 60 in 1

My buddy just dropped off a couple of ultimarc joysticks for me. Very nice of him to do.

But the freaking mounting plate on the joystick is not even close to standard joystick size. Not sure if there is actually a standard, but every joystick I have EVER come in contact with up the this point had the screw holes all in the same spot.

Can I buy a plate somewhere. I simply am not drilling additional holes in the control panel now that I have a new cpo on it.

For the record it's correct lengthwise but about 1/2" off in the width.

I already looked at pulling apart a couple joysticks I have lying around, but they wouldn't work based on depth. This plate is 1/8" thick or so and made of metal. The ones I have (happ stick of some type) are plastic and very deep and actually screw in backwards.

Isn't that the plate that is already on the sticks you have? (i.e. standard mounting)

It might be, I asked the guy for a measurement.
I will probably just make one tomorrow. begrudgingly

Just to answer the question of the thread title: Yes, something else CAN go wrong. And give Murphy's proclivities, I think you can assume it will. Just try to have the first aid kit handy at all times.

it requires a bigger piece of metal. I am going to explore it today.

If nothing else I get better at improvising as I go.

I was just all set to be done with that part last night. And I have defiinitely learned that video games don't care what my perceived schedule of completion is.

they don't care at all.
