Cant understand why people keep stating they want an item then they never follow through. I have storage units full of parts and games and nothing. Prices are more than fair. Over one month and not 1 sale.

I list bulk pricing and all i get is-- can i buy the 1 item?. Urghhhhhhhh

I just dont get it !

This sucks ...

Selling games was getting soooooo cut-throat for me last year, that I basically gave up and trying.

Find me parts for a Pool Sharks Pinball or a Space zap and you got a deal!

i hit the wall about a year and a half ago. Looks like the econ finally krapped on you too.

WHere i live people are trying really hard just to pay the mortgage so the gaming market is nearly null unless you damn near give stuff away or have high end stuff rich people want.

I hear ya guys. I had the same thing happen in the winter and thats understandable but its summer now. I dont get it.

Hell i even bought a few items in the last week from 2 different guys and both waited a bunch of days after payment then stated they they could not ship for at least another week. 2 within 24 hours. I need time to unwind tonight....

Wtf...

Run of the mill parts and games are tough to sell lately.. Only stuff I can move is rare or nos parts.. Full games? Forget it.. Unless I Sell them for a quarter of what we'd pay.. Not to mention the 8-9 people who have requested parts and rebuilds only to flake out on me :(

Sucks, as I could use some cash for vacation!

Well at least its across the board with everyone. Damn multicade boards put sales right in the toilet

Well if anyone wants to take some of my hard earned cash find me some Pool Sharks Pinball parts. I need them lol. Hey speaking of which anyone know where to get a white pinball? (no not one for twilight zone).

its gonna be this way for awhile im afraid. ALso on a sidenote, its only july and my yard is totally dead, and all the leaves on the trees are dying changing color and falling off!!!

Funny -- I'd love to buy a bulk lot of parts or games somewhere. Even individual, "run-of-the-mill" games. But there don't really even seem to be a lot of people offering things for sale in my area.

It's the same problem up here. The arcade market seems to be very soft, and difficult to sell anything. BUT, it is a buyers market, and I have been taking advantage. I've bought 8 games in as many months, and gotten some spectacular deals.

On a similar note, my lawn is dead and the trees are wilting here too.... Midwest is getting killed with this drought.

This X 100000000000.

I quit the hobby 10 years ago because I accumulated hundreds of boards, tons of games, pins, and parts...easily 6 figures worth of stuff. When I offered a mint Pac-Man PCB that looked like it just came out of the factory for auction and got $15, and was told by multiple prospective bidders that it was of no interest because it wasn't a "40 in 1" or a "60 in 1" I knew I was cooked.

I came back into the hobby this year hoping some interest in real hardware (not Chinese pirate garbage) had regained enough favor to sustain a viable hobby market. Right now I'm not really sure. It seems there are about 20 or so titles that genuinely draw money, which I believe is almost entirely because the MAME s**tboards haven't yet gotten to the point where they can emulate them properly...but anything else that isn't pretty rare or special, the boards are mostly not even worth what I can get scrapping them for parts.

I'm sitting on at the moment over 30 working boardsets, at least half of which I've listed either here and/or eBay and have had very, very little interest. And I do not seek top dollar for my stuff. And I always ship good product, and make things right if something I sell doesn't work. I let my reputation precede me.

But yea..I think a combination of MAME and the depression economy in the US is really making times hard. I have faith that things will inevitably turn around; I can't believe the economy will stay in depression forever without either some significant correctional changes happening or an all out revolution, either way..I see arcade games as the next classic cars...and those who truly love classics are going to want the real hardware, not a s***ty knockoff. So I'm in it now for the long term.

But for now yes, things are QUITE lean.

I'm not trying to sound political but I was really interested in getting some cabs from you around tax season but my health benefits for the new year sky rocketed. My employer says its because Obamacare. I've been broke ever since. :(

Its not just games that aren't selling. I have a few other items along side of the games listed for sale, and I've only had a few nibbles. Not one has followed thru yet. I check ebay / retail stores etc, and price my stuff very reasonable along those lines.

Besides the buyer for Narc who has been in contact with me, I've not heard back from any of the other "nibbles" yet.

It really sucks since I don't have any extra money now to enjoy the hobby, let alone fix any of the other things that may come up.

Yeah I've had a heck of a time selling some of the spare cabinets I wanted to get rid of to the point now that I actually took two apart to make the game that I was going to buy with the profits from those games.

Finally sold one of my cabinets today though I need to sell another one. If anyone is interested in a Rockola Eyes with a new monitor let me know!

Not sure what you guys are having problems with, but it may be something such as pricing or timing. Im not having any problems selling machines, this is actually been a very good year here. And it is not a local thing either because i ship games all over. In fact, ive shipped to more countries this year than ever.

As for games sales, Ive been shipping a bunch to Wisconsin, Tennessee, New York California, and lately a lot to Colorado.

And buying has been just as busy. I delivered a load to knoxville thursday, and with one phone call was able to get an operator in the nashville area to sell me a full load (30 games) and even loaded up my duallys backseat with over 400 boards. Today, i got a call from an operator in Virgina to see if id buy his warehouse with 85 games in it, so im going back on the road to get them. And if im willing to drive 800 miles each way for a deal in my dually that gets 5.9 mpg, then the deals are out there.

Although i did run acros a local prick that had a nice stash of very good games, all looking very pristine, robo, joust 2, pacland, pacmania, gaplus, tronx2, solor fox, mario, dk, dkjr, mario and a bubble duramold. I offered the guy 650 for his duramold not working, which i thought was a good offer. only for him to say its worth 3k not working. and since he can sell working trons for 2k, that his nonworking ones were worth 1500.00 I actually hit this operator up about 10 years ago and he has the same stuff and has not sold 1 thing since i was there last. And at his prices, he wont sell anything for the next 10 years

You consider a guy a "prick" because he won't sell to you. Gee, I can't imagine what his hesitation is.

so if you bought it for 650 and fixed it, what would you sell it for? 3k?
