I picked this up a while back, but finally got the parts and time to work on it tonight.
Without powering on, I noted that P500 headers had been removed and wires soldered directly to the PCB instead. All but one fuse and some other components missing. This had been used as a parts chassis to repair other monitors.
Replaced MPSU57 @Q606, 1N914 at D606/D607, all fuses. F600 was present but burnt out. Removed nightmare at P500, cleaning up the PCB as much as possible. Installed new header at P500, including jumpers on pins 1, 3, and 6 to repair burned/lifted pads and traces. Installed in known working monitor and powered up. Glow and chatter present, image looks good after adjusting brightness and contrast pots.
All the jumpers I installed. This was a more extensive repair than most of what I fix.
Close up of the P500 area.
Ugly, but gets the job done.
