I've been having trouble getting the picture adjusted properly on this monitor. I can stretch the picture so It's wider horizontally (assuming you're looking at it in It's vertical orientation), but the picture stretches out past the sides. When I try to shrink it, I can get the left side in far enough, but there's about one inch of space on the left that's empty, and it's still slightly stretched past the right edge of the screen. Basically I need the whole screen to move about an inch to the left. What should be adjusted?

Oh, one other thing: It's a Donkey Kong monitor and I can adjust it so the high score is at the very top of the screen, but it seems like there's a lot of unused space at the bottom. Is it supposed to be like that? I can shrink it so the top comes down and it's a little more centered and the bottom comes down a bit, but then there's an equal amount of empty space on the top and bottom.

I can take a photo if my description isn't very helpful.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

There are jumpers for shifting the pic (see below). Sometimes your chassis will have the pins, but not the jumper. You can install one in order to shift the pic the direction you want...

If you need to adjust it horizontally, use the H Cent pot to get it centered, then the horizontal width coil (Horiz Size) to widen or narrow it...

I see the pins, but no jumper on them. I'm new to monitors, can you explain how a jumper controls how far the picture is displayed vertically, and how come this particular adjustment doesn't use a pot?

Moving the jumper brings in or takes out certain parts of the circuit, causing the picture to display in a slightly different spot. (I think. It's a holiday and my brain is on vacation right now.) If you don't have a jumper, you can make one yourself. Others here have had the same issue and added a jumper to make it work. FrizzleFried was one of them way back when...

I tried the pots on the PCB, but I think it's messing with the screen's vertical hold because the colors start moving like crazy and I have to restart everything to get it back to normal. So how can I make a jumper for those pins? Would an alligator clip work? Sounds a little crude as a permanent solution anyway.
