Can't find a repro? Vectorize it yourself! [Nintendo Vs. Dualsystem CPO]

I couldn't find a source for reproduction Nintendo Vs. Dualsystem UR CPO's, so I bought a damaged pair of NOS overlays from eBay and vectorized them myself. The art isn't that complex, so it was fairly straightforward.

First, I know -- the font isn't 100% correct, especially on the numerals (a bit too rounded, and the tail on the 1 is a little too long). However, the difference (to my eyes) is subtle enough to the point where if you've never seen the original, you probably wont notice.

For the sake of preservation, I'm going to offer my files to anyone who wants them (too big to attach -- working on it. For now, PM me and I can email them). They're in GIMP format (which is free and can export to almost anything else). I'm still waiting for mine to be printed.

I also vectorized this to exact size and print ready, except it was vs red tent cpo. Maybe we can send each other our versions so we have both. Its nice to see other people out there doing this, I have been vectorizing tons of sideart and marquees in the past few months.

That's the one for the Unisystem upright, not the Dualsystem upright. That side art looks pretty good, though.

Ah OK sorry.. At least you found a "new" source for free vector art ;) Would be cool if you upload your work there too since you said you want to share it.

I had Arcadeoverlays print me a pair of these, and with their help tweaking the colors and adjusting the font a little bit, they ended up looking pretty darn good. :) Original (damaged) one is on top, repro is on the bottom.

I asked Todd if of Arcadeoverlays if we might ever see these for sale on their site:

Yes..this isn't an item that we get alot of talk about but I can see it making it's way
to the site in the future.

If anyone else needs one, I'm sure Todd could hook you up.
