Anyone that's been to CAX the last couple of years (not 2011) and happened to have played on the Baby Neo Geo Japanese machine has seen this particular machine.

It's really rare and I picked it up from the owner today with a bunch of other stuff.

It's pretty clean and I just needed to fix a few mechanical issues. There's a hairline crack in the hood which I can epoxy so that it doesn't get worse. I also need to rotate the yoke and align the monitor a little better. Need to figure that out.

Came with no carts but I have almost every MVS game I want to own already.

Very nice! I love Neo 19s, one of my favorite candies, for sure. The hood on those babies is a great touch.

Excellent haul!

I also picked up Elevator Action Returns F3 cart, Puzzle Bobble 2X F3 and a stack of CPS2 boards.

Anyone have suggestions for Neo Geo games for kids?

I'm thinking Puzzle Bobble, Metal Slug 1, Nightmare in the Dark and King of Monsters.
My kids love Godzilla cartoons so I've been hanging on to KOM just for them to play someday. It's the perfect height for my 5 year old boys to play.

Replaced control panel parts to make it more original.

again

any suggestions on MVS carts that are good for 5-6 year olds?

I have Puzzle Bobble, NITD, Metal Slug, and Blues Journey in there now.
I also have KotMonsters but theres a bug in the cart where it won't attract scroll properly and ends up hanging on that cart.

I happen to also have:
Top Hunter
Neo Bomberman

Captain Tomaday :)

I just saw this. Great pick up man. That hood must make playing on that kind intimate. :p

As for 5-6 year olds...that's a hard one. I'd imagine you gotta put in a little bit of everything and then note which ones they gravitate to. If I remember myself at 5, I liked diversity and playing whatever the older kids were playing. So in your case they'll probably want a 360 instead. ;)

I love candy cabs. I always have at least 2 or 3 of them around. They can be a little tight to play for 2 players, but they're so cool and charming that I love them.

I also already have

Neo Bomberman
Neo Mr Do
League Bowling

I'm considering getting 2 copies of thrash rally and then figuring out how to link them with the mic cable since I have a pretty nice MVS 4-25 also.

I vote for Spin Master as well. I need to find that cart someday. Great co-op side scroller.

The mini MVS at Disneyland's Starcade has that and Puzzle Bobble. It's been there for over two years so I'm guessing it does well enough to stay in there.

Neo 19 candy vs MVS 2-13

Semitsu ball tops > Happ Ultimates

Yeah, I think we all agree the Neo 19 is better (and probably more rare). :)

I was just pointing out the mini MVS because it's also a mini cab that seems to be more for little kids due to it's size.

That MVS2-13 is also kind of aesthetically ugly in comparison.

Speaking of cabinets for our children, I'd love to some day find a Capcom mini-cute for my daughter's room. :)

Cue for Matisse to throw down a shot of all of his candy cabs including 3 Capcom cutes.
I would expect tehm populated with Puzzle Fighter, Gem Fighter MM, and Magical Disney Tetris.
