I think i just bought a Ms pac thatI think that was originaly from Canada. The back door says montreal and the power supply and the way the board is mounted is like no pac ive seen. Its all cased in metal and has two big power cylinders and the board is mounted in a metal cage. The power supply says Laneil automatic. Anyway i bought it it has no picture but plays blind. I checked all the fuses and they all are ok. I wanted to know what i can check next . I also wanted to kow more about what i bought.Ill post pic later .

Laneil automatic was a huge distributor back in the day. At least it would seem that they were because I've owned tons of games with their name on them.

You should post some pictures.

Does it have vinyl art instead of paint? Some later Ms. Pacs were released with vinyl art and a Super-Pac-style power supply...

No its paint . The serial number is 85206 if that means anything?Ill pst pics .I hope this helps.

All i can tell you is that i've had at least 4 of these machines with that exact power supply and they were all painted as well but i don't recall the distributor markings on any of them

It's just like sticking your business card in the coin box, just in this case the buyer can't loose your contact info. Just something done by the distributor, nothing more. The PS must be just because that's what they had on hand.

Nah, those PS's were put into some cabs at the factory. Not all of the later series were vinyl. Usually you see these PS's in the cabs with the high serial #'s. Same PS as the Super Pac's. I've seen plenty of these PS's in Ms. Pac's.

But yeah, the stencil is just a vendor mark. I hate the ones who burn in a "route machine identifier" number that looks like a serial number...

Same here, Laneil must have been huge back in the day. They seemed to put stickers on everything they owned. My Timber also has their stickers all over it. I've bought manuals also that have their stickers added to it.

I've got the same one in my Gaplus (without all the Laniel stickers ;) )
